This hummus is so easy and so good you’ll want to lick the blades of your food processor. Maybe that’s just me. (Please don’t lick the blades of your food processor.)

  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup tahini (make your own…it’s easy!)
  • 3 T olive oil
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 t sea salt
  • 1/2 t cumin (I use chili powder instead for a little kick.)
  • 1-4 T water to desired consistency
  • 1 can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
  • paprika

Put lemon juice and tahini into your food processor and mix until completely smooth. Add olive oil, garlic, salt and cumin and mix until smooth. Add chickpeas and 1 T water at a time until it is as smooth as you want it to be.

Top with olive oil and some paprika.

For roasted tomato, basil and garlic hummus, add as many oven roasted tomatoes as you’d like to the mix before adding chickpeas.
